Marchegiani: “A good first half, but poor second half against Fiorentina”

A victory against Fiorentina in Matchday 8 of the Serie A TIM that brings Lazio into a Champions League spot in the table. They currently sit in fourth having played Napoli, Juventus, and Roma already (unfortunately all losses), with 15 points. For Ciro Immobile and his teammates, three points were the best way to get back on track and to head into the break.

In the Sky Football Club broadcast, former biancoceleste goalkeeper Luca Marchegiani has said the following about the match: “Lazio’s first half was decent. They risked a lot going when Fiorentina was attacking, Strakosha was good in a couple of circumstances, but Fiorentina could and should have made better use of their chances. It seems to me that Inzaghi has made a fairly clear choice in preferring Caicedo to Luis Alberto, who had been one of the driving forces of last season but this year is having difficulties. In the second half, Lazio had little effort”.
