Lazio’s 2018/19 Serie A campaign has mostly gone as expected. They lost to the top three teams of last season, Napoli, Juventus, and Roma, but also won their other five Serie A games.
The Biancocelesti now sit comfortably in fourth place awaiting their trip to the Stadio Ennio Tardini next Sunday to face Parma. Former Lazio striker Fabio Poli recently sat down with Lazio Style Radio 89.3 to talk about the Biancocelesti’s season. Here are Poli’s comments on several topics.
On Lazio’s defense: “The real problem is on the defensive level. With Parma, it will be a tough trip because the crusaders offer good football.”
On Lazio’s Europa League Campaign: “The Europa League group is difficult, but I did not expect a defeat like that with Eintracht. Against Marseille it will be tough, the biancocelesti will have to win by force.”
On Lazio’s wingers: “Lazio on the outer lanes boasts players who push a lot in the offensive phase and that can be annoying for the opposing teams. I think of Marusic, Lulic, Lukaku, and Durmisi.”
On Valon Berisha: “Berisha? I like him, he will be essential for future games. Surely Inzaghi will use him a lot.”
