Since joining Lazio, Portuguese youngsters Pedro Neto and Bruno Jordao have had little in terms of play-time with the first team – featuring in the Primavera last season. Seriebnews.com, via CittaCeleste.it, are reporting that Salernitana are planning a loan swoop for the two youngsters in January.
Given Claudio Lotito’s role as president of the Salerno side, this deal makes sense and, if Salernitana are indeed interested, Lazio will look quickly to wrap up a deal to give the two talents more game-time and room to experience and mature.
Opinion:
A loan move for both Pedro Neto and Bruno Jordao makes perfect sense given the current state of the squad. There is no room within the Biancocelesti roster currently for the two, both playing in positions where Lazio have a plethora of other options first.
The two would go from being small fish in a big pond to big fish in a small pond, gaining valuable experience and the time needed to adapt the technicality of Italian league football.
