Before the 2018/19 season kicked off, Lazio forward Alessandro Rossi looked like he was in with a chance of being a prominent player in the Biancocelesti’s new campaign. Lazio were in somewhat of a striker crisis during the summer, with Ciro Immobile a target of big European clubs like Tottenham Hotspur and AC Milan and Felipe Caicedo having not really performed in his first season in the Italian capital. For this reason, and his goal-scoring antics in pre-season, Rossi was tipped to come into the first team this season and make a name for himself.
However, Rossi was probably not banking on Felipe Caicedo salvaging his place at Lazio, with the Ecuadorian putting in some strong performances this season and already bettering his quality of last season. For this reason, CittaCeleste are reporting the possible interest of Serie B side Pescara in the Italian.
Pescara are attempting to gain promotion back up to Serie A, with the side currently top of Serie B – 1 point clear of 2nd place Palermo, who have a game in hand. For now, Rossi is a Lazio player but his performances in Auronzo di Cadore may have been enough to earn him a move to a club where he will actually feature.
