The Lazio management are busy at the moment, working on all sorts of contract extensions and renewals for staff and players alike. Sporting director Igli Tare has been, as per SportMediaset, offered a new 2 year contract and a double salary whilst Stefan Radu, Ciro Immobile and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic have already confirmed new deals. Now, CittaCeleste are reporting the latest contract rumours surrounding names like Danilo Cataldi, Lucas Leiva, Luis Alberto, Senad Lulic and Jordan Lukaku.

CittaCeleste suggest that, first and foremost, both Senad Lulic and Lucas Leiva have already signed or are nearing the signing of new deals. Both the Bosnian and the Brazilian’s contract expire in the summer of 2020 and Lazio consider both vital parts of the team. However, due to the age of the duo, the extensions will likely be for another year or two – nothing longer.

After his performance against Spal, Danilo Cataldi’s name is being teased with a new contract. It seemed that both the Lazio fans and management had lost faith in the controversial Italian midfielder, yet he seems to be back – and thus a new contract could be his reward. Cataldi can guarantee himself a new contract by playing well in the upcoming games against Marseille, Sassuolo and AC Milan; the Rossoneri facing Lazio after the international break concludes.

CittaCeleste‘s final piece of useful information is that the proposed extensions of Luis Alberto and Jordan Lukaku have both been placed temporarily on hold. Luis Alberto was linked with an extension to 2022 over the summer yet his performances this season so far have put that into serious doubt. The Spaniard seems to be struggling with fitness and confidence issues – similar to Jordan Lukaku, who is another who could leave Rome. Lukaku was linked with a move to the Premier League over the summer but eventually remained with Lazio, yet has been omitted from their Europa League squad and has played just a handful of times this season.
