The words of Mladen Krstajić, head coach of Serbia, caused some concern in Rome in regards to midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic: “Milinkovic-Savic has reported a knee problem, he got injured, he will certainly not be playing the next game.”
However, the condition of the Serb does not seem to be too bad. According to what Gianlucadimarzio.com reports, Sergej’s absence is just a precautionary stop: Milinkovic has suffered an inflammation of the hamstring. His presence against Milan should not be in doubt and the low level of disturbance for Sergej should allow him to remain with his national team. A decision that in the end belongs to Krstajić, who will evaluate whether to send him back to Rome or to keep him for the game against Lithuania.
Luckily, things don’t look too bad from a Lazio perspective; hopefully, it could serve as a wake-up call for the midfielder to up his game in club colors.
