Report: Luis Alberto out, Porto’s Brahimi in?

Reports over the past month have indicated that Lazio are seriously weighing up a move for Porto’s Algerian forward Yacine Brahimi. Brahimi, who has a contract expiring in summer 2019 with Liga NOS side FC Porto. There is currently no indication that he will be renewing his deal with the side. This leaves the door open for a potential exit and Igli Tare is tempted to bring him to Italy.

According to what has been reported by A Bola, Porto are willing to let Brahimi leave during the winter market; so that they do not lose him for nothing next summer. If Porto were to lose the Algerian on a free, they would have to pay €6.5m to Doyen Sports, who own half the rights to Brahimi.

Porto reportedly rejected a €30m offer for the Algerian during the summer and Lazio could look at the forward as a replacement for Luis Alberto. The Spaniard has been underperforming for Lazio this season and Sevilla have shown a constant interest in re-signing the second striker. If Luis Alberto leaves, Brahimi could be the man brought in to replace him.
