Kosovo had a lot of ball possession in the first half, but only managed to score one goal. After halftime, however, the flood gates opened. In the last 20 minutes of the match, Bernard Challandes’ nation showed that they really can counter.

First, FC Zurich left-back Benjamin Kololli scored a great goal in the 70th minute, followed by substitute Donis Avdijaj, the 22-year-old youngster from Willem II in the Eredivise, who made victory clear with a double strike in the 78′ and 80′ minute. 4-0 up, Kosovo did not hold back and Milot Rashica from Werder Bremen finished the game off with a magnificent long shot in the 86’. Valon Berisha played 61 minutes in this match until he was substituted for Besar Halimi (Bröndby IF, Danish Superliga). A believed removal to make room for fresh legs, although a good match, this time out he was not one one of the key difference makers – he did not tally an assist or goal.

The last game of Kosovo’s Nations League campaign was sold out after just 32 minutes as everyone now believed in the impossible – Kosovo would be promoted to League C of the UEFA Nations League.  Fans were treated to an early goal, as just 62 seconds into the match, Kosovo took the lead thanks to a brilliant shot by Arber Zeneli of SC Heerenveen – it is going to be the start of his perfect match today. In the 50th minute, he then made it 2-0. 11 minutes later, in the 61′, Amir Rrahmani of Dinamo Zagreb decided the match for Kosovo with the a third goal, but it was not enough for Zeneli – on two goals, he wanted to third to complete the hat trick. He accomplished this in the 76′. Captain Berisha, had a very good match, working hard for the team, but just could not find the net. He left the pitch in the 85th minute for Besar Halimi.
