Luis Alberto will not be available to play against Chievo Verona in Matchday 14 of the Serie A TIM. After a terrific performance against Milan – in which he was one of the best on the field – he was substituted in the 64′ much to the surprise of Laziali and football fans worldwide watching the match. However, there was reasoning to Simone Inzaghi’s maneuver.
Today at his press conference, the 42-year old Italian stated: “Luis Alberto still does not feel free in his movements; muscular discomfort to his adductor has not disappeared. The Spaniard wanted to be present, but he suffered from pain to his pubis – clinical tests have yielded positive results. At the end of today’s training, we decided together to aim for Sampdoria.”
This injury is an on-going one but is presumed to have given the Spaniard discomfort in his last outing against the Rossoneri. Joaquin Correa or Felipe Caicedo are expected to start beside Ciro Immobile up top tomorrow, with the Ecuadorian favored.
