Lazio to be in retreat in Formello starting Tuesday

A 1-1 draw against Sassuolo, a 1-1 draw against Milan, a 2-0 to Apollon Limassol, and now a 1-1 draw with last-placed Chievo Verona. These last four matches for Simone Inzaghi’s Lazio have been lackluster, as they have managed to drop nine points, whilst scoring only three goals. Yes, against Sassuolo and Milan, one can say that the Biancoceleste were unlucky; yes against Apollon, one can say that ten of the starting eleven players were not regular starters; but the performance today was absolutely unacceptable. 42-year old manager Inzaghi stated that it was “the worst match I have ever managed” and with an attitude and result unliked by the club as a whole, Lazio will head to a retreat starting Tuesday at the Formello.

This will be to prepare for their next clash against Sampdoria, remaining inside the sports center at least until the match on Saturday. Yesterday afternoon, Claudio Lotito had called the team to reportedly encourage the players in the locker room – the confrontation was staged just before the departure for Verona. However, the desired results did not arrive and Lazio will now be obliged to reverse their current course and regain form in this dark period.
