A rumor has been circulating that Lazio’s Martin Caceres is far away from the capital. The Uruguayan defender is not finding much space in Simone Inzaghi’s side and for this reason, from Brazil, Santos has expressed their interest in the player. These are the words of Caceres’ agent, Sabatino Durante, as he explained the situation to Radiosei’s microphones.
“Caceres in Brazil? I know some interest has been there. Martin is pleased with Santos who is looking for a player in that position; in Brazil, it will be the most important transfer market window. The managers of Santos have always worked well with Uruguayans and there is a South American player who wants to get closer to home after so many years abroad in Europe”.
Talking about the rest of the market: “In Brazil there are many young people not yet trained who are talented but cost a lot. There are very few players already trained and those who are older than 30 and therefore I think Tare is not interested. The players who he is looking for are not 7 or 8 million euros, so it is better to look in Portugal or Belgium as he has done recently. An example is Luan. Lazio had given up on him because he cost too much, in Brazil he already takes almost 3 million euros, to come to Europe he will ask for at least 5 million euros.”
