Report: Lazio interested in Japanese defender Takehiro Tomiyasu

With less and less time to the winter transfer market, teams are beginning to investigate options strengthen up their squad. As reported by TMW, a name that could be disputed by several teams is Takehiro Tomiyasu, the Japanese defender of Belgian club Sint-Truidense V.V. In Germany, Werder Bremen have already set eyes on the youngster, while in Italy there is both Lazio and Udinese.

Tomiyasu is just 20 years of age and joined the Belgian league from Avispa Fukuoka who plays in the second tier of Korean football. So far this season, the player has made 20 appearances for the side in all competitions, showing the trust he has earned at a young age in addition to his dominant capabilities as a dual footed 6’2″ defender. When January comes around – or even the summer- we will not be surprised to see Tomiyasu head to a bigger club, but for now Lazio continues to evaluate, patiently waiting for new developments.
