Dr. Rodia: “Luis Alberto? No injury, there were just cramps”

The exit of Luis Alberto – at the 76 ‘minute mark – was the only crooked note of a perfect Saturday afternoon for Lazio. The Spaniard left the pitch after having asked to be subbed off by Simone Inzaghi. The manager of the biancoceleste medical staff, Dr. Fabio Rodia, spoke to Lazio Style Channel microphones to clarify the player’s conditions.

“I feel like having to reassure everyone, it simply came out of cramps. He had no particular injury. He simply went out to avoid other consequences. He has experience and just felt the cramps and preferred to leave the pitch”. Luis Alberto is therefore then expected to return to training with the squad today and potentially start once again after a terrific performance against Cagliari which saw him full of confidence and looking like his former self; he took the corner that resulted in Francesco Acerbi scoring.
