Bologna-Lazio, Calabresi: “We must take on Lazio with solidity”

After the 0-0 draw against Parma, Bologna’s centre-half Arturo Calabresi spoke post-match about the result and the upcoming fixture with Simone Inzaghi’s Lazio in Matchday 18 of the Serie A TIM.

“It is the second consecutive game that we’ve kept a clean sheet; it’s an important aspect of our game that we’ve been spending a lot of time on. It is also a starting point to also improve other elements.”

“We must work on our possession play, aiming to be more proactive. I am sure that this can also be improved by further work. Given the other results, we were ready to get the most of out this game even if knew it would be against an in-form opponent. We put in the performance that we’d been working on. We lacked ruthlessness in the final stages and we could’ve got more from the game should we’ve done better with the space that they left us.”

“There has been some concern since the start of the season: we must work hard and fight until the very end. If 100 percent isn’t enough, then we must give 110, showing personality and character. We must now look ahead and think about taking on Lazio with the same solidity of our past two games.”
