Official: Lazio Terminate Brayan Perea’s Contract

Lazio have officially terminated Brayan Andrés Perea Vargas contract. Simply known as Brayan Perea, but nicknamed El Coco, the Colombian attacker born in 1993 arrived to Lazio in 2013. A decent first season making 27 appearances and scoring five goals between Serie A TIM, Coppa Italia and Europa League, he never made a direct and strong enough impact for the club to be sure of his presence and keep hold of him. He was sent on loan to the Serie B with Perugia, to France with Troyes, and most recently Spain with Lugo – none of which seemed to work out for the player as he managed to score just two goals (one in the Serie B, one in France) in three years away from Rome. Not part of the Biancoceleste’s plans for the future, the club released a statement to make termination official: “S.S. Lazio announces that it has resolved, by mutual consent, the relationship with footballer Brayan Andrés Perea Vargas”. A contract expiring in the summer of 2019, this was a forward-thinking move by the club.
