Lazio come into the game with Torino after a 2-0 defeat over Bologna on Boxing Day, Simone Inzaghi reigning victorious over his brother Filippo. Lazio kept their first clean sheet since the 21st of October and picked up their second consecutive victory, after a 3-1 win against Cagliari the week before. Lazio have won 5 of their nine home games this season, drawing twice and losing just two – only losing to Napoli and Inter Milan at the Stadio Olimpico. Therefore, Lazio are unbeaten in four home league games and will be looking to make the most of this form to secure the three points.
Torino, meanwhile, remain the only team aside from Juventus in Serie A to go unbeaten away from home. The Turin side have won twice and drawn seven on the road and therefore Lazio will need to be at their best to come away with all three points. Torino have seen impressive away draws at the San Siro (twice) against Milan and Inter, whilst also keeping a clean sheet in Bergamo against Atalanta. Despite this, Torino have not won away from home since the 4th of November, scoring just once in their last 3. Overall, Torino have won two in their last five games, at home to Empoli and Suditrol in the Coppa Italia.

Torino have been a tough nut to crack when not playing in Turin and, for this reason, I’m expecting this game to finish in a draw. Lazio have developed somewhat of a habit of conceding late goals in recent weeks and it should be a close, hard fought battle.
