Barcelona make u-turn on Malcom decision amid Lazio interest

According to what has been reported by Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona have made a u-turn on their decision of Malcom’s future. The former Bordeaux winger signed for the Catalan giants in the summer, after the club sabotaged a late deal that would have seen the Brazilian join AS Roma. Malcom signed for around €40m but has failed to truly settle with the club and, after reports that Barca were not intent on selling, it is now reported that they have changed their mind.

Mundo Deportivo suggest that Barcelona are now willing to listen to offers for the Brazilian but is is tough to picture him leaving Barcelona permanently. The interested parties are Lazio, Everton and Guangzhou Evergrande – two clubs, Everton and Evergrande, who would likely have the finances to purchase the Brazilian outright – yet, with Lazio, Barcelona could weigh up a loan move as an alternative.

Regardless, it is unlikely that Malcom will be joining Lazio permanently this January but there is an outside chance of a loan and the player could certainly be on his way out of Barcelona.
