Andre Anderson joined Lazio this summer from Brazilian club Santos and, after training with the Biancocelesti during the summer, was loaned out to Claudio Lotito’s Serie B club Salernitana. During an interview with Radiosei Andre expressed his appreciation for Lazio, its players, and Sporting Director Igli Tare stating: “When the Biancocelesti called me, I said my mother. I could talk with other teams, but I chose Lazio. Before arriving here, I spoke with Felipe Anderson and Luiz Felipe, I was immediately warned about the differences between our football and Italian football. As soon as I settle down it will be easier. Tare puts a lot on me, I want to repay everyone. Lazio is a great team, I want to retrace the road made by Hernanes and Felipe Anderson. I want to play with Lucas Leiva and Luiz Felipe and get to great levels.” Since joining Salernitana, Anderson hasn’t gotten much playing time, but new manager Angelo Gregucci is finding ways to fit the young Brazilian into his system. Hopefully Anderson’s development will progress as his playing time increases through the second half of the season.
