Lazio vs Novara, Inzaghi: “A perfect first half. Badelj?…”

At the end of the 4-1 victory for Lazio over Novara, Biancoceleste coach Simone Inzaghi spoke to the Rai Sport microphones to analyze the match.

“We had a perfect first half. I had asked the boys of a great test of concentration, they entered with the right spirit. We won the match with merit. We are in the quarterfinals, and with another win, we could be in the semi-finals. We are in an excellent moment,
we are playing good football and I am happy with the boys. In the second half, we had some flaws we need to realize, I would have liked not to concede a goal. Those who took over and came into the match did well, it’s never easy to take over at 4-0. I’m satisfied with the boys’ overall performance.”

“Milan Badelj has asked to be sold? Nobody has asked me personally for the transfer. It is normal that everyone would like to play. I often regret even sending someone to the stands. We are a squad with many players, we’ll see what happens.”

“Incoming market? If there were the possibility, something will be done. I know that the club is working for me.  If we do something we will do it to improve ourselves.”

“Lulic on the right? He is doing great things under my management, using him on the right too could be an option for the future. Now for two games, we will have Marusic disqualified. Not forgetting that we have Patric, a player who has always done well. Lukaku and Durmisi are slowly coming back too. We expect a very difficult return leg, we will have to be at our best”.
