OFFICIAL: Rossi joins Venezia FC on loan
It is now official: Lazio’s young Italian striker Alessandro Rossi will leave Rome to play for Venezia FC in the Serie B for the remainder of the season. The striker, who was on terrific form in the summer training camp, has been unable to find first team playing minutes with Simone Inzaghi and Lazio and after signing a contract extension a few days ago, will now go on loan to prove his worth. Close to a move to Pescara who are also in the Serie B, the deal seemed to have broken down (most likely resulting from further negotiations between Lazio and Venezia after the Cristiano Lombardi transfer). Rossi has seen just 45 minutes of professional football this season – two matches in the Europa League being used as a substitute.
