Report: Lazio want to sell Wallace – the alternatives
A meeting is said to have occurred during the vacation between Lazio’s sporting director Igli Tare and Portuguese super agent Jorge Mendes surrounding the future of Brazilian defender Wallace. The performances of the 24-year-old have not satisfied Lazio, who are now considering selling the player. In recent days, there have been talks of Wolverhampton and before that, Ligue 1’s Monaco and La Liga’s Valencia have been said to be interested; all three clubs who are strongly connected to Mendes.
One thing remains certain about the situation: Lazio asks for at least 8 million euros for Wallace, a figure that Lotito paid in July of 2016 to bring him to Rome from Braga. In case of his departure Tare would certainly not be unprepared: according to what is reported in the Radiosei press review, on the list of the sports director there are at least three names of central defenders: Diego Carlos of Nantes (25 years old), Lucas Verissimo of Santos (23 years old), and Kamil Glik of Monaco (30 years old).
