According to what has been reported by the Turkish media, Galatasaray have entered the race for Lazio’s Croatian midfielder Milan Badelj. Badelj, who was part of Croatia’s squad at the World Cup that finished as runners up, joined Lazio from Fiorentina during the summer on a free transfer. However, since joining the Biancocelesti, Badelj has struggled to play frequently – due to an overcrowding in the centre of the club’s midfield.
Reports broke out towards the end of last week that Badelj asked to leave the club due to a lack of game-time and Galatasaray are on the verge of losing midfielder Younes Belhanda to Saudi club Al Ittihad. If Belhanda leaves Galatasaray, the club will make a concrete push for Badelj. However, if things break down with Belhanda, the club will lack the funds required to push for Lazio’s Croat.
