Report: Morrison wanted by Gerrard at Rangers

According to what has been reported by English tabloid paper The Daily Star today, Steven Gerrard is interested in bringing Lazio’s English attacking midfielder, Ravel Morrison, to Scottish club Rangers where he serves as manager.

Morrison has never really shined for Lazio and is therefore heading for the exit – likely for a nominal or free transfer. Morrison signed for the Biancocelesti as a gamble, that perhaps the midfielder would follow in the footsteps of, or emulate, Paul Gascoigne. However, he did no such thing and has spent the last few months wasting away – not even registered for Serie A or Europa League.

Morrison spent last season on loan with Mexican club Atlas yet they chose not to make the deal permanent and the Englishman returned to Rome. Now, Glasgow beckons for the midfielder and Lazio fans will be happy to see his salary off the books once and for all.
