Ciro Immobile’s Agent: “If there was an offer from Napoli, Immobile would’ve arrived”

Lazio are getting ready to kick off the second half of the season against last year’s Serie A runners up Napoli at the Stadio San Paolo. The Biancoceleste’s star attacker Ciro Immobile has strong ties to Naples as he was born in the neighboring town Torre Annunziata. In the build-up to the game, Ciro Immobile’s agent, Marco Sommella, spoke to Radio Marte about his client and his relationship with Naples.

Initially, Sommella commented on the Italian’s connection with the city: “Immobile has a very strong bond with Naples and its origins. Sunday after the match ends in Naples, Lazio will grant the team a free day, in short, despite never wearing the blue shirt, as soon as he can he escapes to Naples to be where he has friends and interests. He also bought a house 200 meters from Insigne’s, it was a coincidence, the two in addition to being friends for many years are also neighbors. When he comes to Naples Ciro often stops at the Cimmino bar because he is very close to Salvatore Fantini, who unfortunately will see Napoli-Lazio from Sky, and then he loves going to eat at ‘Cicciotto a Marekiaro’.”

Sommella continued to talk about Immobile’s connection with Napoli: “If an offer from Napoli for Immobile had arrived, he would have never refused it. Napoli preferred Higuain and in hindsight, the numbers say he doesn’t score less than Pipita.”

Lazio will need Immobile to play at a high level this Sunday in order to get a result from a strong Napoli side. With AC Milan playing Genoa this weekend the Biancocelesti don’t have much room for error if they are to hold on to fourth place in the league.
