After reports linking Napoli to Ciro Immobile already this week, Il Messaggero are reporting that Liverpool will be sending a scout to the match between Napoli and Lazio at the weekend to watch Immobile and possibly Mertens, if the Belgian plays.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has already coached Immobile in the past, in 2014 when the duo worked together at Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund. Liverpool are reportedly serious about reuniting Immobile and Klopp but Lazio and Claudio Lotito would likely try to force every penny out of the buyers – especially given how late in January it is.
Honestly, TheLaziali.com would be surprised if Immobile were to leave at all in January – with even saying he’ll leave in the summer being a push. The Italian forward recently signed a new contract and has constantly reiterated his love for Rome and for Lazio.
