Stefan Ristovski – the 26-year-old Macedonian international who currently plays for Sporting Lisbon – is of interest to Lazio. As reported earlier in the week, they were considering pursuing the player in case of the failure to sign Davide Zappacosta, as Chelsea have requested a hefty amount for the Italian defender. Ristovski has only played in eight matches so far this season in the Portuguese top flight and in a search to find first team playing time, Lazio could be his next destination. However, a problem has arisen for the former Parma, and Latina player: the Biancocelesti were working for a loan with a right of redemption, but the Portuguese want a permanent sale. This has slowed the negotiations down as Lazio were hoping to test the player in the Serie A before making the deal permanent.
