Luiz Felipe: Lazio doctor provides update on Brazilian’s injury

Lazio fell to a 2-1 defeat to Napoli last night, with a match marred by the somewhat unfair dismissal of Francesco Acerbi and the injury of Brazilian centre-back Luiz Felipe within the first ten minutes of the game. Luiz Felipe was replaced by Bastos and the game quickly went downhill, the Biancocelesti conceding two first half goals in a typical lapse of concentration.

Speaking to Lazio Style Channel, Lazio doctor Dr. Rodia spoke about Luiz Felipe:

He’s suffered a resentment of the left thigh flexor, the positive thing is to have him stop playing immediately. For a diagnosis we have to wait for the usual 24-72 hours. The necessary hours are needed to stabilise any damage and then proceed to the tests and give the prognosis. The player had already had muscle problems and that was troubled. It’s also about the squad; we have to work on some players.”
