Lazio fell to a 2-1 defeat against Napoli last night, with Francesco Acerbi receiving a harsh red card after picking up two yellows – bringing to an end his string of consecutive games – unless Lazio appeal the ban, which the club should probably do. Acerbi received his second yellow from referee Rocchi after a supposed ‘foul’ on Napoli forward Jose Callejon; however, replays have shown that Callejon had not even been made contact with by the time he was headed towards the floor, attempting to draw the red from Rocchi’s pocket – as the Italian ref has done on 17 other occasions for Lazio players – 12 more than for any other club.
