After the steps taken in the past few hours, Martin Caceres is closer than ever to a return to Serie A Juventus. According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Bianconeri have indeed reached an agreement with Lazio; this was the last part to accomplish to allow the negotiation to close permanently. The agreement has been found to be 600 thousand euros between the clubs. The player’s agent is now in Rome waiting for the player’s signature before his return transfer to Juventus.
The 31-year-old expressed his desire to leave Rome with his lack of playing time. It seemed as if the Uruguayan international had fallen behind essentially every defender in the Biancocelesti side – Simone Inzaghi was always opting to choose either Luiz Felipe, Wallace, Bastos, Patric, Lukaku, or Durmisi before Caceres. Quite the confusing situation for a player of his quality.
Before Juventus, several sides had expressed their interest to sign the player. Flamengo, Parma, FC Basel, BSC Young Boys, and Bologna were all parties that have been involved since the summer.
