According to what has been reported by Turkish news outlet BIPSPOR, Turkish Super Lig side Galatasaray have made a €3m offer for Lazio’s Ecuadorian forward Felipe Caicedo. Caicedo is somewhat of a journeyman and the former Manchester City striker joined Lazio in the summer of 2017.
Since joining, however, Caicedo has failed to take much spotlight away from Ciro Immobile; despite starting the 2018/19 season strong and with a lot of contributions to get Lazio’s season up and running.
However, Lazio must look at offloading players; especially those ageing and bit-part players like Caicedo who take up more of the wage budget than do good work for the side and are therefore considered surplus to requirements. With reports also suggesting that Lazio are working on a deal to secure Club Brugge’s Wesley Moraes in the summer, Caicedo’s departure could be welcomed with open arms.
