Coppa Italia, Inzaghi: “A match of personality is needed against Inter”

Today at 3:00 pm EST, Lazio will take on Luciano Spalletti’s Inter in the quarterfinals of the Coppa Italia. With large upsets coming from the three other matches, we are in for a real treat at the San Siro; Krzysztof Piatek scored a brace for Milan as they defeated Napoli 2-0, Fiorentina pumped seven past a helpless Roma to defeat them by a massive 7-1, and lastly, Duvan Zapata scored a brace to help Atalanta defeat Juventus by a score of 3-0.  To the Rai Sport microphones, the Biancoceleste manager spoke about the upcoming match.

“Against the top teams this year, we are struggling: it’s just a phase, in the past, we have always had good matches with the so-called big, also bringing home an important trophy. As for tomorrow’s match: the team arrives at this game after an undeserved defeat. Marusic is no longer disqualified and is ready to return, I will evaluate the other players.”

“The transfer market? We had so many players in the squad that we had to let Alessandro Murgia and Martin Caceres go on loan because they were not playing as much as they would have liked. Maybe someone will arrive, the right flank is the area of the field that needs the most improvement. All I can do is affect the players I have available in the best possible way”.

“Tomorrow, we will need a great Lazio but above all, a good dose of personality; we must momentarily leave the championship behind us and think of the Italian Cup, a trophy that we really care about. Tomorrow will serve a great personality test in Milan “.
