Ciro Immobile and Luis Alberto: Lazio positive about duo ahead of Sevilla clash

Lazio managed to come away with all three points last night when they defeated a plucky Empoli side at the Stadio Olimpico. Lazio were without Ciro Immobile and Luis Alberto; who both suffered light injuries and fitness concerns after the match against Frosinone on Monday evening. Felipe Caicedo scored Lazio’s only goal last night, from the penalty spot as the Ecuadorian takes his tally to two goals in his last two games.

Lazio now have a week to prepare ahead of their UEFA Europa League game against Sevilla next week; with Simone Inzaghi doing all he can to prepare the side. This morning, at training in Formello, the squad was divided into two groups; those who played against Empoli, whose training was limited to light work in the gym, whilst those who did not took part in full training and played a practice match.

Luiz Felipe is undergoing a custom training routine; to try and recover from his injury. Luis Alberto and Ciro Immobile were both rested against Empoli, with the thought, as per CittaCeleste, that they will both be fit and available for the match against the La Liga side next Thursday.
