According to what has been reported by Italian newspaper Tuttosport, Napoli are once again chasing Lazio forward Ciro Immobile. Napoli have been on the trail of Immobile for some time; with Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis considering the Italian as a gift to head coach Carlo Ancelotti, after it appears the Neapolitans will not be able to afford the signing of PSG forward Edinson Cavani.
The 28-year-old, who is approaching his 29th birthday towards the end of this month, has been a target of not just Napoli in recent months. Chinese Super League Dalian Yifang, where Yannick Carrasco plays and Marek Hamsik is moving to, made a €40m offer for Immobile in January, which was rejected by Lazio immediately. Liverpool have also been touted as a possible destination for Immobile yet the forward is reportedly happy in Italy and Liverpool would likely not spend so much on what would be a second-choice centre-forward behind Mohamed Salah.
