Europa League: what Lazio could earn in bonuses

The bonuses in the Europa League this year have become higher than last season. Last season, the Biancocelesti earned 18 million euros (excluding box office) for making it to the quarterfinals. So far – thanks to their three victories in their group which led to a second place ranking – Lazio have already earned 5.6 million euros from the European competition. After having passed the preliminary round, Simone Inzaghi’s side must face off against Sevilla in the round of sixteen.

As reported by Radiosei, in the event of qualification Lazio will get 1.1 million euros from the box office at the Stadio Olimpico and the market pool (that will be redistributed by UEFA at the end of the Europa League). Access to the quarter-finals is worth 1.5 million euros, while the semi-finals 2.4 million euros. Finally, UEFA will reward the two finalists with 4.5 million euros and a further 4 million euros to the winner.
