Lazio’s injury crisis continues to worsen; with it a possibility that Simone Inzaghi will be playing central midfielder Lucas Leiva at centre-back in the Coppa Italia semi-final first leg against AC Milan. Bastos, Wallace and Luiz Felipe are all struggling with injuries and Lazio’s Angolan defender has been, along with the likes of Riza Durmisi, Luis Alberto and Valon Berisha, treated by Serbian doctor Mirjana Kovacevic; a renowned medical expert for fixing footballers’ injuries.
Bastos is suffering from a first-degree muscle injury to the adductors and Simone Inzaghi is aiming for the Angolan to return in time for the Derby della Capitale against Roma at the start of March. Bastos has been back to Lazio’s Paideia clinic, for an MRI scan but is currently only focused on returning to the starting XI as quickly as possible.
