Patric: Lazio to fine Spaniard for disrespectful actions toward club

In the second leg of the Europa League Round of 32 clash against Sevilla, Patric started the match on the right side of a back three. After conceding a goal in the 20′ – with the Spaniard being a bystander in the build-up to the goal – Simone Inzaghi looked to his bench, thinking of what he could change to allow the Biancocelesti to create more scoring chances (as they now needed three goals to move on). Just four minutes into the second half, the Italian 42-year-old manager made a substitution: Joaquin Correa was coming on for the 25-year old right back. Patric did not seem to like – or appreciate – the decision and headed straight to the locker room without shaking anyone’s hand. However, Inzaghi and Massimiliano Farris followed him promptly to take him back to the bench. This was a massive sign of disrespect that the club has not taken too lightly. As reported by Radiosei,  Patric was forced by Lazio to apologize to the team and received a fine. With Lazio in an emergency in the defensive department, it looks as if Patric will be called upon to play against Milan next week, but following the return of the other defenders, it is safe to say that his attitude is taking a toll on his possible future with the club.
