One of the players that Lazio acquired over the summer was Sassuolo’s Francesco Acerbi. This was a signing intended to reinforce Simone Inzaghi’s back line, due to the recent departure of Stefan de Vrij. The negotiations for the player spanned across the entire summer transfer window but in the end, the left-footed Italian defender – who has years of experience in the Serie A TIM – transferred to Rome. Since joining the Biancocelesti, Acerbi has provided a huge boost to the side.
