Towards the end of last year, reports emerged that Lazio had all-but secured the signing of Bobby Adekanye on a pre-contract agreement; the Nigerian youngster’s contract with Liverpool expiring this summer and the winger having no intention of extending it. However, the track quickly went cold and it was revealed that Lazio did not have an agreement at all.

The latest reports from the press review of Radiosei suggest that Lazio are still on the trails of the Nigerian youngster and would be interested in bringing him to Rome if a deal was still possible.

Adekanye is a lightning quick winger with a desire and passion to run with the ball, similar to what has excited Lazio fans since the arrival of Joaquin Correa and with what we have seen of Pedro Neto. A winger by trade, Adekanye opens the possibilities for Lazio to return to a four-back formation, with a possible 4-3-3.

Lazio will face stern competition for Adekanye’s signature but the possibility of a deal should certainly not be ruled out just yet.
