Report: Lazio want Manchester United’s Fosu-Mensah

Lazio are said to be seriously interested in Tim Fosu-MensahThe 21-year-old Dutchman is owned by Manchester United but is currently on loan at Fulham, where he has played in only 11 matches for the club in all competitions. Not only is Fosu-Mensah an adaptable player by being capable of playing in both back three or back four formations, but he is also versatile, being able to play as a center back, right-back, or defensive midfielder.

As reported in the latest edition of Corriere dello Sport, contacts between the Biancocelesti and Red Devils are said to have taken place already during this past January transfer window, but the 1998 born player preferred to remain in England, opting to avoid moving elsewhere on loan.

An important note: Fosu-Mensah’s contract expires in 2020 and his relationship with Manchester United seems like it will not be extended. With a value of approximately 10 million euros, Lazio could try to sign him again in June but will have to act quickly and efficiently – they will not be the only ones testing their luck…
