Report: Monchi wants Lazio’s Luis Alberto back at Sevilla

Luis Alberto: the return of the prodigal son. In Sevilla, they all imagine it like that, but Lazio does not seem to be willing to give up one of their prized possessions. The number ten of the Biancocelesti is very tied to his hometown – he has even stated that his dream is to prove himself at the Sanchez Pizjuan…

Last summer, the Andalusian team had tried to snatch him from Rome on the last day of the transfer market, but Claudio Lotito and the Lazio management had politely declined the supposed 30 million dollar offer; with a contract expiring in June of 2022, the Roman club are not allowing him to leave easily.

However, the return of Monchi to Sevilla could change things next summer according to Radiosei. Monchi, already in summer of 2016, tried to bring Luis Alberto back home to Sevilla. At the time, the Spaniard was still owned by Liverpool. The negotiation was in the final stages, but in the end, Lazio entered and took him from the Spanish side.
