Mohamed Fares: Lazio Following Algerian Wing-Back

According to Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport, Lazio are said to have set their sights on Hellas Verona’s Mohamed Salim Fares, who is currently on loan with Serie A side SPAL. This is due to the fact that the Biancocelesti remain in search of a left wing-back to succeed Senad Lulic. Riza Durmisi – who arrived this past summer from Real Betis – has not convinced the Biancocelesti and Jordan Lukaku seems to be unable to recover from injury.

Fares is a left-footed versatile footballer, able to play as a left midfielder, defender, or wing-back. So far this 2018/19 season, the 23-year-old Algerian international has made 26 appearances and scored two goals in the top flight of Italian football.

Although SPAL will likely take up their option to purchase the player for €2.5 million at the end of the season, when a large offer arrives, the Biancazzurri will not be able to decline.
