Inter vs Lazio: why the Biancocelesti were able to defeat the Nerazzurri

In Matchday 29 of Serie A TIM football, Inter fell to Lazio by a score of 1-0  at the San Siro. This was a result of a beautiful counter: in the 12′, the ball ended up at Luis Alberto’s feet on the left side of the pitch in the Nerazzurri’s territory, he looked up, spotted Sergej Milinkovic-Savic making a late run into the box, and sent in a cross to the Serbian at the far back post that he smashed home with his head. He put the Biancocelesti in the lead, but with over an hour still left to play, who would have ever thought that this would have been the deciding goal? Nonetheless, an important three points for Simone Inzaghi’s side. The game could have not gone any better; defensively they were sound and on the attack they were lethal. More importantly, everyone played for each other as a team – something that is so vitally important for any side.
