The back line is a department in which Lazio will be looking to strengthen in the upcoming summer transfer window. This year, the numbers have improved compared to last season, but when summer arrives, there are sure to be additions to the side regardless of how the 2018/19 Serie A TIM season ends. All of the core defenders in the side, including Francesco Acerbi, Luiz Felipe and Stefan Radu – are almost certain to remain; Bastos‘ position depends on any offers received, and Wallace is destined to depart. This means Lazio will be looking for at least one new signing, with the potential for a second. As of yesterday, the name of Jules Koundé of Bordeaux has been circulating. Born in Paris in 1998, the youngster can play either of the two center half roles;  however, he is right footed. According to Radiosei’s press review, in addition to the Biancocelesti, Inter, Milan, and Roma are all keeping an eye on the young Frenchman, but the problem lies with the price which Bordeaux are requesting: a minimum of €20-25m. Koundé is a key player in Paulo Sousa’s lineup, and so a strong offer will be needed to secure his signature. This season, the defender has made 31 appearances in Ligue 1, providing one assist, while only picking up three yellow cards.
