Joaquin Correa sustains an injury against Milan: the details

Joaquin Correa, Source- Il Mondo del Fantacalcio

Following the first half at the San Siro between Milan and Lazio, Joaquin Correa was stopped a few moments after the restart. Just three minutes into the second half of the match, the Argentine was forced off of the pitch as a result of an ankle problem. This was caused by a strong but unintentional challenge from Tiemoue Bakayoko in the center of the Rossoneri’s midfield: he lunged in to win back the ball for his side, however, while doing so, he got his right leg stuck between the Lazio attacker’s two feet and this is where the problem arose from – Correa immediately saved his hand in the air, acknowledging that his night was over… In his place, Felipe Caicedo was called into action in a sort of deja vu. Against both Milanese sides (Inter Milan and AC Milan), he started from the bench as Simone Inzaghi had opted for the front two of Ciro Immobile and Correa, and in both matches, he was substituted into the match for Correa who came off injured (27′ against Inter, 48′ against Milan). An unfortunate injury to one of Lazio’s stars, we are yet to know the extent of the injury.
