Joaquin Correa had clinical check-ups following his injury and subsequent replacement at the San Siro on the weekend. The young Argentine was forced to be substituted for Felipe Caicedo early in the second half after he felt pain in his ankle. Correa arrived in Paideia on Sunday to undergo instrumental ankle tests to check the seriousness of his injury. This morning he trained separately from the main squad in Formello, hoping to try and recover in time for Wednesday’s game vs Udinese. However, his return must be doubted as he only has two days to regain fitness and be ready to line up for Simone Inzaghi. A possible appearance from the bench, it does not seem worth it to rush Correa back into the starting lineup. With the final stretch of matches approaching, Lazio will need all players to be match fit if they want to reach their goals.
