Report: Tottenham look to Lazio’s Brazilian defender
Although Lazio are still fighting for a UEFA Champions League place, the season is entering its final weeks and the summer transfer window is quickly approaching. With this being said, English Premier League side Tottenham, as reported by Tuttomercatoweb.com, have been scouting in the Serie A TIM. With several players on their wish list, the London club are looking to strengthen their defense and are said to be interested in Joachim Andersen and Luiz Felipe. Andersen is noted to be their first choice, but the Danish defender – who is valued at a minimum of €25 million by Sampdoria – is eager to play out at least one more season in Genoa. This would make Luiz Felipe the first option in line for Tottenham. As Claudio Lotito is a notoriously tough negotiator and will be in no rush to sell the promising Brazilian defender, this deal seems unlikely to occur. However, if Lazio misses out on Champions League qualification and Spurs’ offer is large enough, the 22-year-old could make a swap from the top flight of Italian football to the Premier League this summer.
