The Coppa Italia semifinal match between Milan vs Lazio is not only a match everyone has been waiting for but also a match of high importance to both sides. At the San Siro, progressing to the final is the main objective – and positive – as it provides the possibility of adding a trophy to their club’s cabinet (considering both sides have missed out on both the Europa League title and Scudetto already this season, this is the only award still capable to win). However, a lot of players on both sides have been highly criticized for their ability to perform in ‘big’ matches. By progressing, they would prove that they have what it takes to really deliver in tough situations. A final inkling in regards to Lazio: an exit from the competition (and a failure to finish in a top-four spot in the league) could result in several players to leave the club this upcoming summer.
