During last night’s Coppa Italia match against Milan, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic suffered a slight knee distortion that forced him to leave the pitch after only 15 minutes of play. It was a difficult moment for the Serbian giant, who left the pitch in tears, aware that he wouldn’t be able to redeem himself after his embarrassing red card against Chievo Verona on the weekend. At the end of the match, in the mixed zone of the San Siro, il Sergente commented as he walked past the reporters:
“I’m fine!”.
The words were reassuring, even though Milinkovic-Savic was limping as he said them. It will certainly take a few days of recovery for Milinkovic-Savic to return to match fitness, but this won’t be a problem considering his suspension in the league for the red card against Chievo Verona.
