Some new transfer market news has broken directly from Romania. For a few days now, there has been talk of Lazio being interested in Nicuşor Bancu, a 26-year-old currently playing for CS Universitatea Craiova. Some Biancocelesti scouts have attended some games to keep an eye on him. Former Biancocelesti player Cristiano Bergodi, currently the manager of Romanian club Voluntari, expressed positive thoughts about the player.
Bancu can adapt to Lazio. There’s Senad Lulic, yes, but they are looking for players in that department still. As far as I’ve heard, it seems that Bancu is currently in the sights of Lazio. He’s a great player, I like him. He has similar characteristics of Lulic.
So far this season, the Romanian has made 24 appearances in Liga 1 Betano, scoring three goals and providing three assists. All of these matches have been played on the left side of the pitch; at left-back, left wing-back or the left midfield. Playing in his fifth season for the club, Bancu looks set for a move to a more prominent league to show his worth to calcio fans worldwide.
