Milan vs Lazio, racist chants: the decision of the Sporting Judge

The Sporting Judge spoke out about the racist chants created by Lazio Ultras – that were seemingly directed at Franck Kessie and Tiemoue Bakayoko – during the Coppa Italia semifinal match against Milan at the San Siro. According to the report of the Federal Prosecutor, as reported in the official press release, such chants were clearly “attributed to the supporters of the Lazio club that occupies the central part of the sector called ‘Curva Nord’ of the Stadio Olimpico in Rome in home matches”.

The Sporting Judge, speaking about the events of the Coppa Italia semi-final return leg, has stated that he “resolves to sanction Lazio with the obligation to have one match with the Curva Nord (the part of the sector indicated by the collaborators of the Federal Prosecutor in its report) closed, without spectators. However, the execution of this sanction will be suspended for a period of one year with the warning that, if during this period a similar violation will be committed, the suspension will be revoked and the sanction will be added to the one imposed for the new violation”.
